Well this is something I worked on quite a while back (almost a year ago) which was initially written as a MortScript. I've decided to port the application to .NET 2.0 Compact Framework. This program will allow you to change the mobile operator name on your phone (Sprint PCS, AT&T) to any label of your choosing. You can read more about it and find a link to the download here.

Well there seems to have been an issue with user registrations earlier this week, so I have purged any user registrations which were not verified. If you tried to signup and received an error after that, please re-register. You may use the username in which you originially tried to register and it should work fine. If not, please email me at admin©pocketemu.com and I will try to address any lingering issues. That email now redirects to my personal email, so I should be a bit more responsive than I was previously.

On a similar note, over the next few weeks we'll be upgrading the forums to phpBB. All user accounts should remain intact, however it's possible forum posts may not make the transfer. I will keep everyone updated as to when that may happen.

Once again I apologize for the inconveniences the database failure has caused.

In an attempt to expand the presence of pocketemu.com, not just regarding HHC/HTC software, I'm looking for volunteers to perform the following tasks:

-Forum moderators
-News submitters/maintainers
-Software download maintainers
-HHC Appearance uploaders

As this site is still rather small (and in turn generates only enough income to maintain it), these are volunteer positions at the moment with an opportunity to develop into something more. I envision the site becoming a "geek haven" and/or "free software repo" of sorts which will include of course Windows Mobile, PC software and other technology related items. If you are interested in any of the positions, please leave a comment in this news post and I will contact you to discuss the details and possibilities for our site.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that over the next few days the site layout will have some changes applied. I just (re)added the chatbox feature and moved the PM and online info to a third column to condense the site status and messaging features. There may be some other changes but none that will affect the actual content of the site.

I've noticed over the past few months since the v1.0 final release the forums have started to take off a bit. We're getting over 1600 unique visitors daily and now have over 2500 registered users with more being added everyday. Because of this, I would like to start expanding the forums a bit to cover more topics than just HTC related items. I've just added a section for general Windows Mobile questions/information and we're looking for ideas for more forums and topics. If anyone would like to make some topic suggestions, please leave a comment on this news item and if the topic makes sense to add, we'll incorporate it as soon as possible. I'll also be sifting through the current topics and sorting them accordingly, so if you can't find you're original post take a look at the new topics and I'm sure you'll be able to find it.
